Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Office of Anne Labes, Esq. collects through this website and the client portal, and how it is used.
What we collect
The details you give us when you send a message, order online or sign an agreement: your name, email, phone number, mailing address, bidder number and the certificates you ask us to handle. When you sign online we also record the date and time, your IP address and your browser, as proof of your signature.
We also use public records from the West Virginia State Auditor and county offices to do the title work and keep your client portal up to date.
How we use it
Only to provide our legal services to you: to contact you, prepare and file your title work, take payment, and keep your portal up to date. We do not sell your information.
Who we share it with
The State Auditor and other government offices as needed for your matter, and the services that run our office for us (secure payment by Square, email delivery, and our secure database and website hosting). Card numbers are handled by Square and never stored by us.
Text messages
If you say yes to text messages (on your agreement or in your client portal), we text you about your own tax lien work, for example when your packet is ready to mail, a reminder, or an agreement to sign. About 1 to 4 messages a month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop, or HELP for help, or turn texts off in your client portal. Saying yes is not required to use our services.
We use your mobile number only to send you these messages. We do not sell or share your mobile number or your text message permission with anyone for marketing, and it is not shared with third parties except the service that delivers our texts for us.
Your choices
You may ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing Kori@annelabes.com or calling (304) 615-8978. Some records must be kept as required for an attorney's files.
